New University Car Park arrangements and Payment instructions

Parking is free Monday to Friday after 5.00pm. On Saturday it costs £1.00 for ALL day, even after 5.00pm. Payment ONLY after 30 minutes or on departure.

There is only 1 payment machine which is located outside the Mellor Building (on the left as you enter the car park). This only accepts Debit/Credit Card or Smart Phone Payments - no Cash.

The charge also applies to the car park at the back.

The University·have advised that in terms of payment for parking there are·multiple options available, these are described below. The preferred option is to pay as you exit the carpark, however, payments can be made on entering the car park if required.

Payments for parking can be made in the following ways:- (Please quote Site Code 802647)

• Smartphone/tablet computer app The Paybyphone application can be downloaded to your mobile device through your app finder search for

• Internet You can log on to the Paybyphone web address and make a payment - paybyphone.co.uk

• By phone, call 0330 400 7275 and following the instructions. This can be done after you have left the Campus up to midnight on the day of parking.

• By pay machines installed on the Campus carparks – debit or credit card only, no cash.

These are set to pay on exit as this captures actual times of entry and allocates the appropriate tariff to your stay.

However, if you want to pay on entry to the University·car park then the university have given the following instructions:-.

Enter your registration number in the pay machine, after you have entered your registration number you would need to press the red circle with a white X on the left hand side of the display. This states “it is my vehicle but the·entry time is wrong”

This will then enable an honesty payment to me made at the appropriate tariff, in this case for a Saturday and Sunday the rate of £1.00
